Hello- My name is Amber Russell (Amber "Sommers")..
my mother was Deborah (who was killed by this piece of crap "Doctor")
I and my family still sit waiting patiently while court hearings keep being pushed back- I'm so afraid that nothing substantial will happen, yet again... wish there was away to have this story get so big that it couldn't be ignored...

A San Antonio dermatologist just lost his license AFTER being arrested for sexual assault. I am curious as to whether there had been any complaints against him before the arrest. If the Board is responsible for protecting the public from predatory physicians, do the victims have any recourse against the Board for failing to exercise due diligence?

I was a happy, running up and down stairs, lifting furniture and 80lb air conditioners manager for a cute little family motel in Port Aransas, Tx on April 12th 2010 that all changed when I lifted one to many things I guess! I felt something pop in my right shoulder and pain increased and was directed to a an emergency care clinic by my owner's workman's comp. Nothing seemed to help after months of treatment.
I was finally referred to Dr. Konasiewicz in Corpus Christi and was set up soon for a 4 level fusion in my neck on Nov.18th, 2010. Lost feeling in arms, legs and my speaking is raspy and can not sit up very long at a time and wore a brace for eight weeks. Went back to doctor and he laughed in my face after telling hime of problems. I went back to my emergency care clinic doctor, he gave trigger point shots in my shoulder for alittle relief at a time. This went on for another year or so, then referred me to an orthopaedic doctor which I had another sugery May 24th,2012. Still not doing very well at all, but this doctor had to go in and redo Dr. Konasiewicz's work which he only fused half of what he told me he did, and the new doctor redid that and finished the rest and I still hurt so bad.
Contacted several law firms and they have all turned me down, not really sure why and time is running out so I was told, I only have 2 years which means I have until Nov. 18th to do something against Dr. Konasiewicz or he goes free again, oh yes hes been in trouble before, but because of Texas Law he can still practice in Texas.
Very upset and Mad!

The Texas Medical Board is clearly operating against their own mission statement. Their mission statement is: to protect the public's health, safety and welfare by establishing and maintaining standards of excellence used in regulating the practice of medicine and ensuring quality health care for citizens of Texas through licensure, discipline and education.

The Texas Medical Board in my humble opinion is guilty of allowing doctors to kill their patients because they can. The TMB is a "good ole boys club" and will protect their "own" even if their "own kill their patients.

If you want to view the face of one of the doctors they did not find "guilty of any wrong doing," Google: Why did you drop the ball Dr Andrade? He is guilty of killing my husband by failing to provide the basic standard of care in a Galveston, Texas emergency room. He is now free to practice at the New York Bariatric Group and inflict his collateral damage upon the unsuspecting citizens of NYC.

Thank you for your time,
